For education specifically, here's an APA article discussing the problem with a US context, but I have seen the same patterns across other Western education as well.

https://www.apa.org/monitor/2023/04/boys-school-challenges-recommendations

Simply put, sit-and-listen education disadvantages boys, who also tend to receive more severe punishment than girls for the same behaviours. Add on to that gender stereotypes push boys to be dominant, and doing well at school is not cool for boys.

In general, there are a lot of issues we are simply blind to regarding men. Men are treated as disposable, always potential combatants in a war, never the victim and always the perpetrator of domestic violence and violent crime in general.

I like this. But while the study is sex specific, fixing this would benefit boys and girls.

Humans weren't meant to sit in a chair and be talked at.
