The US is the one sanctioning China and hurting its own economy. China is responding to those sanctions, but they would rather work peacefully and encourage mutual trade with us. But the US doesn't want its own citizens to benefit from China's affordable electric vehicles because US's own car manufacturers would have to lower their overinflated prices.
