MODERATORS
Wool socks are better.
Merino is good for the average man, more affordable. Darn Tough Merino wool socks have a lifetime warranty. Alpaca & buffalo wool are some of the absolute best. I go buffalo.
I like cotton more. On cold days the skin gets dry and I absolutely hate the feeling of cornea catching the wool.
