A place to discuss positive changes that can make work more equitable, and to vent about current practices. We are NOT against work; we just want the fruits of our labor to be recognized better.
Our Philosophies:
- All workers must be paid a living wage for their labor.
- Income inequality is the main cause of lower living standards.
- Workers must join together and fight back for what is rightfully theirs.
- We must not be divided and conquered. Workers gain the most when they focus on unifying issues.
Our Goals
- Higher wages for underpaid workers.
- Better worker representation, including but not limited to unions.
- Better and fewer working hours.
- Stimulating a massive wave of worker organizing in the United States and beyond.
- Organizing and supporting political causes and campaigns that put workers first.

I’m based in the US but VPN into Switzerland for better online privacy (as well as a mix of other techniques).
The host of my instance was gracious enough to allow me to use it. I’m not physically in the EU, but that doesn’t mean I need to go around with a US-centric view on everything. Maybe realize there are other countries in the world, and that ours (the US) is by no means “tHe bEST.”
undefinedpart. 2) I'm not from or in the US, so that isn't "our" country. 👍👍 You joining a Swiss instance should surely make you aware that people from elsewhere than the US can make comments on Lemmy. 😁Literally not a single soul on all of lemmy has ever said the US is the best. You might be thinking of a different social media with "truth" in the name.
