Basic rules:
I don't get it. I know we are known for overpaying, but he is Chelsea's 2 times POTY in the last 3 years and everyone from their team was shit last year and he's someone that ten Hag clearly wants, I think he will be really good for us.
From the beginning I thought we'd get it over the line with £60m, but thought it'd be structured £50m + £10m. As you mentioned he was a talisman for Chelsea for a few seasons. Last season was a bit of an anomaly with all the upheaval at Chelsea. I'm looking forward to seeing him play next to Case and Bruno
Agreed. Given the price that Rice has gone for, I think we are fine. People often look at Chelsea's last season... Which was a mess. ETH ability to coach plays into their best form makes me optimistic.
