Breaking up in the atmosphere (any atmosphere) typically involves a large amount of heat, those cultists might be a little disappointed in their dead bacteria

actually, maybe that's more terrifying if everyone just let's this voyage happen thinking it's just a bunch idiots about to kill themselves.
