Tbf even if all anti China and NK stories stop this exact moment, USians are so brainwashed it would take an entire generation before the sentiment really changed and they plan on going to war before that happens anyway.
I really don't think they have the resources to go to war at this point. They couldn't take on Russia in Ukraine, and China is a vastly bigger economy. Any kind of war on China is just fantastical thinking.

We'll see I guess, but from what I'm seeing, these people would rather rule over a diminished empire than live in bunkers like rats.
That's probably why this is happening. They realise that they don't need to waste resources on this, as the US public will do the work for free.
