Israel's ambassador to Austria, David Roet, has suggested executing Palestinian minors involved in armed conflict, a secretly recorded video has revealed.

During a closed-door meeting with the local Jewish community in Innsbruck on Thursday, Roet said that "there should be a death sentence" for teenagers for "holding a gun" or a "grenade". He provided no evidence of children carrying weapons in Gaza.

The video was recorded two days after Israel broke the Gaza ceasefire on 18 March, by which time more than 500 Palestinians were killed, of which almost 200 were children.

Roet dismissed concerns over civilian casualties in Gaza, stating: "If you believe that there are no uninvolved [people] in Gaza… you're believing that Israel is targeting babies intentionally, which is not correct."

Look at this guy justifying the extermination of literal children with a timesofisrael articles and a wikipedia page… this is unhinged. You can try and spin it as an educational post, but reading through the different statements you’ve made regarding this genocide, you clearly do not value the lives of Palestinians and their right of self determination as highly as you do israelis.

I laughed when I read your futile attempt at moral redemption.

White supremacists hunting down and exterminating migrants and POC

You: "I mean there are several reports about criminals being POC and migrants eating pets, look at this Joe Rogan podcast or this Newsmax article. Still I do not condone violence, it’s very very bad."

That is crazy. Did you know every single Israeli is recruited in the IDF under conscription and many undergo training camps when underage? What are your thoughts on this?

I have changed my question up slightly seeing your virtue signalling at the end.

Sure, the IDF takes in a few 17 year olds. I haven’t heard of anyone underage serving in combat though. I’m sure it happened during the war of independence and earlier at times though.

Hamas reportedly used minors in military roles in Gaza, mostly lookouts and such.

Military training for 15 year old teenagers is not the same as 17 year olds.

Israel is a state and can legally recruit 16 year olds and older. I’m not aware that Israel does this though. Hamas as a non state actor is only allowed 18 years and above.

The use of minors by Palestinian armed groups has been documented many times over the decades.

Have you ever talked to Palestinians? This isn’t even a secret. The youth culture, especially in refugee camps, is big on idolizing martyrs.

The most recent example of a terrorist group run by teenagers is Lion‘s Den in the West Bank.

Now, is every Palestinian teenager member of an armed group and fighting actively? Certainly not.

Wow reportedly Hamas uses scouts now instead of armed children. At least reportedly according to Jfeed? I guess that is why the IDF kills so many children. All those kids without weapons were actually on the lookout. Must be valid military targets.

Hamas as a non-state actor is only allowed 18 and above.

My sides. Oh my sides.
