I wonder where he got the batteries. Most discarded recyclable batteries are discarded because they no longer hold a charge.
From what I've seen, it's usually just one of two dead cells per battery pack. It's just a lil dangerous to dismantle and rebuild them.
I know some fellows that visit the local dump weekly looking for electronics with the sole intent of collecting batteries and making this sort of thing. I guess it just requires strong consistency. Very cool though!
