The article that ClathrateG sent describes a drone attack Ukraine did on an airbase which had MILITARY aircraft and shells. What they (edit: they = Ukrainians) did not know was that Russia also was hidding nuclear shells which exploded, which led to the attack doing more damage and unintentionally hurting civilians.
Most likely has nothing to do with that specific woman. Maybe just anti-hair color ragebait? Some are saying Ukrainian soldiers are war criminals for this, probably didn't hear how Russians are INTENTIONALLY bombing hospitals. Of course just saying "the other guys are worse" is problematic, but I repeat Ukrainian soldiers did not try to hurt civilians.
Here is a video about it: https://youtu.be/OODJsg6AyQg
What does this have to do with ALT women?
"Most likely has nothing to do with that woman" - Probably doesn't have anything to do with alt women, just ragebait.
Thank you
I found a YouTube link in your comment. Here are links to the same video on alternative frontends that protect your privacy:
Perhaps not in that specific strike, but I hope you aren't minimizing the civilian deaths caused by Ukraine over the last decade of conflict. If so, there are a lot of people in Luhansk and Donetsk who would disagree if they hadn't been on the wrong end of Ukrainian artillery.
Unlike Russia, Ukraine mostly only targets military facilities. Of course there could be civilian casualties, like maybe in the oil refineries they bombed inside Russia, but they DON'T target civilians, but the strategic positions which may have civilians. Meanwhile Russia DOES target civilians in hospitals and schools.
I admit there are probably civilian casualties caused by Ukraine, but its an ant. Now lets address the elephant in the room: Russian caused civilian casualties and war crimes.
I am surprised you haven't heard of it, for I constantly see people talking about it.
Well here is the FBI talking about the war crimes Russia has done: https://www.fbi.gov/investigate/civil-rights/international-human-rights-unit/russian-war-crimes-in-ukraine
It doesn't say much, but the title explicitly says Russian war crimes. Though the article does not explain what war crimes Russia has committed, I chose the FBI's government website so that you don't imply its an untrusted source. Of course there are many other sources that cover this, since you can just google it (or Firefox it since we are in the fediverse) and there will be thousands of evidence, but you are just to lazy to research yourself.
I don't think anyone on the anglonet has any room to condemn any other nation.
Russian crimes do not excuse Ukraine's. This is whataboutism.
Yes I already addressed this, if you read my previous comments: 'Of course just saying "the other guys are worse" is problematic, but I repeat Ukrainian soldiers did not try to hurt civilians.'
What I am saying is not simply that Russia killed more civilians so Ukraine is ok. I am saying that Ukrainian's attacks are fundamentally different since they target strategic positions (which may or may not have civilians) rather than targeting civilian infrastructure. Ukrainian attacks are accepted by NATO and does not violate any international laws. In fact a lot of Ukrainian soldiers were trained by NATO countries and follow their rules and standards.
Lol, imagine thinking NATO doesn't commit war crimes lol
Ukraine systemically and deliberately shelled civilians for years. Your ignorance of the facts doesn't erase them.
Imagine thinking you can tell a literal tankie something about a conflict they have been following for a fucking decade lol.
Edit. You don't oppose warcrimes. You only oppose whatever you can call a warcrime committed by the other team. And again, an American (I assume) with the blood of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians on their hands has no room to moralize.
NATO basically dictates what is considered a war crime and dictates international laws and trains their military accordingly. It is the most ethical military there is. Of course it may not be perfect, but its the best we've got.
I guess you have your own definition of war crimes and international laws that is better than NATO which is a literal tankie that studies war and international laws.
Ukraine does not target civilians, if you ask anyone aside from the kremlin of course. (Are you getting your information from the kremlin?) 🧐
Never trust anyone that says their army is the most moral.
Your comment comes down too, "as the soul arbiters of what is moral we have investigated ourselves on found ourselves to be the most moral." It's circular logic.
Imagine thinking in English speaker on the western internet isn't already familiar with the liberal propaganda surrounding this war lol
Imagine claiming NATO is The most moral military force on the planet, right after this administration bragged about killing 60 innocent people in an apartment building to target one man in Ansarallah's missile program on a group chat.
NATO is not "my army" since it is an international military and has nothing to do with nationalism or protecting what is mine which you are suggesting. They simply have the most laws protecting civilians. Again, they are not perfect but have the most protections of innocents. They are not the "*sole arbiters" of what is moral, for each country can have their own laws protecting civilians and defining war crimes.
Imagine thinking everyone in the civilized world isn't already familiar with Russian propaganda.
You keep specifying you are "in the English speaking world", why would you have to specify that all the time. You sure you're not a Russian bot?
"everyone who questions American hegemony is a Russian bot" and other thought terminating clichès you can use to avoid cognitive dissonance.
I am not protecting America, I don't like America that much especially recently. I'm just saying you are repeating things that only the kremlin say.
You're obviously just a troll, bye.
Claims to dislike America.
Repeats state department talking points.
I am a Kremlin stooge for pointing out NATO has and continues to commit war crimes, and their stooge Ukraine has the blood of thousands of civilians on its hands. If pointing these objectively true facts is uncomfortable I am sorry reality doesn't confirm to your ideological framework but fail to see how that is my problem.
If "Ukraine has committed crimes in this war" counts as a Kremlin talking point then I guess The Guardian is also on Putlers payroll https://www.theguardian.com/world/2024/jan/21/ukrainian-shelling-donetsk-shopping-area
Note: not once have I deflected, excused, defended, or engaged with any of the "Russian War Crimes" - I have remained focused on my core thesis: Ukraine has committed numerous crimes of war in the last decade. A claim you have yet to actually refute despite all your personal attacks.
Russia often uses this tactic where they kill their own people and blame it on someone else to enrage people against that country. For example: https://www.hudson.org/national-security-defense/the-mystery-of-russia-s-1999-apartment-bombings-lingers-the-cia-could-clear-it-up
It's .org so that you don't say its made up propaganda.
The guardian explains how the source is a Russian mayor and that the attack is unconfirmed. I highly doubt Ukraine actually did that. The same article also says Ukraine doesn't want peace, even though they are the ones being invaded.
NOTE: You have not given any objectively true evidence to support your claim. You have made multiple personal attacks and in fact the one who stopped it from being civilized with your deleted comment, I guess you deleted it because even you felt shame for being so ignorant.
This is the exact same logic that the state of Israel uses to excuse the deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent Palestinians. Next you'll be telling me, that we can't trust the KHAMAS health services.
I bet you don't even know about the language laws passed in 2014 do you? You're so eager to frame Russia as an intractable enemy, that you're unwilling to even acknowledge the mistakes and the cruelty inflicted by the Ukrainian government.
At the end of the day Ukraine could gas every Russian speaking civilian in Eastern Ukraine, And you would cheer.
There is literally official evidence about how Russia does this. You gave me an unconfirmed and highly speculative article. There is no actual evidence that Ukraine does what you said.
Isreal literally broke the ceasefire and there is a lot evidence showing isreal has killed and targeted civilians. Take the whole Gaza strip, where all the buildings (residential included) are leveled to the ground.

I still admit Ukraine has killed civilians, but it seems you are deaf because I have been repeating that they only target strategic positions and do not target civilians. So Ukraine has killed civilians but they were never the target.
