I have to be in good health to make a positive impact on the world, and we strongly disagree on the ruminant biocycle. Ruminants have lived on this earth for a very long time, they are not a net polluter - they are part of the natural cycle.
You have to want to believe that, and be willing to ignore mountains of research to the contrary, for it to be convincing. But that's not the point. It's downright disingenuous to say your diet has no political aspect. It's hugely political. You just don't want to think about the political component.
