So when they tell you "We promise to only oppress this group of people," you trust them not to oppress more?
Then it will just be in some other country. There's no shortage of authoritarians willing to suck up to the current US regime.
Nothing anyone says matters anymore. We're in a fascist dictatorship and the public doesn't care. If they decided to start burning women for witchcraft in town squares again (I'm betting next month at the latest) the general population will be like "Can they do that?" "Isn't that illegal?"
But I guess society will end that fascist if it ever did happen

Women are too valuable to be warehoused. The young and pretty ones can be trafficked as "Comfort Girls," and the rest are useful as house slaves, cooking, cleaning, tending to the DNA Storage Units/ Organ Donors/ Human Shields, etc.
