John Ullyot, who resigned last week as chief Pentagon spokesperson, predicted that Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth will also be out of a job soon.

Ullyot called it a “strange and baffling purge” that has led to “a near collapse inside the Pentagon’s top ranks.”

And he warned that even more “bombshell” stories about Hegseth and the Defence Department are about to drop.

You forgot that he is also one of the most loyal to Trump. In this admin, loyalty is above all else. It doesn't matter how incompetent you are as long as you're loyal.

That’s a fair point, but if he messes up enough, and more importantly embarrassingly enough, the loyalty won’t matter. Can’t make the King(s) look bad.

You can actually see the future take on Hegseth in this op-ed. One third of the article is how great a leader Trump is, and Hegseth could’ve been. One third is stale Biden-bashing talking points, and the last third is how fucked up things are at the Pentagon. In it he says Trump demands results (unlike “some other administrations”), and then lists a number of former secretaries he’s fired for “not meeting his expectations.” Completely overlooking that many of them resigned over some scandal, at least one left because he said Trump was an “fucking idiot,” and the rest were fired for telling him what he didn’t want to hear. This is the history the party has decided on, and Hegseth will become another name on that list.

loyalty is resigning in disgrace and taking all the blame not only for your own fuck ups but also the kings so they can start fresh

HitlerPig will never admit that his pick was anything less than the best idea ever. He will double, triple, quadruple down, and never fire him.

And the besides his own raging ego, the primary reason is because he is counting on Field Marshall Hegseth to order the military to attack protesters next summer, to justify declaring Martial Law and suspending the midterm elections. He can't afford to have the mid-terms, which will be a bloodbath, and give the Dems the majority in at least one chamber, and control of investigative committees with subpoena and arrest power. Can't have that, so they have to stop the election altogether.

After multiple misteps that would get any other Defense Secretary fired, and probably prosecuted, HitlerPig will be able to hold it over Nazi Pete's head, when he issues the command to murder American citizens in Tiananmen-style attacks around the country.
