It’s kind of sad the lengths the working class needs to go to just to limit every last penny porky raises the rent by.

If my good tastes raise the rent so much, why am I not getting a paycheck from porky, and any other homeowner for my “services” of my fancy tastes raising their property values so much?

i call it "existential labour"

you being there, being being a good neighbour, will raise the real estate value, rent will go up, and they'll generate profit from you existing and a good human being.
