A nice place to discuss rumors, happenings, innovations, and challenges in the technology sphere. We also welcome discussions on the intersections of technology and society. If it’s technological news or discussion of technology, it probably belongs here.
Remember the overriding ethos on Beehaw: Be(e) Nice. Each user you encounter here is a person, and should be treated with kindness (even if they’re wrong, or use a Linux distro you don’t like). Personal attacks will not be tolerated.

@Raisin8659 @unix_joe any alternatives? I’ve been looking at this recently 🙈
If your account is that sensitive, generally no. Fastmail wouldn't escape the court order to turn over some email account' IPs either. Plus, for accounts that are not e2e encrypted, the law may just demand the contents of the account.
If you have the state actors as enemies, you have to dial up your securities to a different category altogether.
@Raisin8659 I never seen the article, just your post about migrating away from proton / my datas not that sensitive, I just would like away from the shitty mail client I get from self hosting defaults, and away from the charging mega giants that keep changing things. I want something open source that’s decent to work with - and as a bonus something I can highly customise not only in terms of design but also with actions or scripts
