MODERATORS
The dominant reason Republicans want to kill PBS and NPR is greed.
They absolutely hate the idea of parting with one single cent.
It's that simple. Psychotic, irrational, and odious greed.
The minor issue of influence on children is trivial, but is a concern to them.
If it was greed, they wouldn't be so incredibly happy to waste money on shit that supports their ideology. The cruelty is the point, not greed
And the point of cruelty is to extract protection money, every time.
Or to "teach a lesson" to everyone else.... Greed and cruelty go hand in hand.
