It was a suicide. That's all. The rest of the stuff drawn from his philosophy was what he used to rationalize his own suicide to himself. It wasn't the actual reason he killed himself, it was just how he motivated himself to go through with it.
Dude could have tried to save whales or be the first to go into fires but chose a fertility clinic meant to bring in kids wanted by parents. So many better ways to use up his life. What a waste.
This puts it better than what I was suppose to write which was "what came first? the desire to blow shit up, or 'the cause'?".
