Where did you download it from? I don't see it on f-droid or aurora. I see you can download it from their website, but is that secure?

You may use github too if you prefer.
There are thorough guides available on how to download and patch stuff
Get the revanced manager from the website (there are many fakes I'll give you the link)
Then download an apk of the yt app, again online, then paatxh it using the revanced manager.
Only do this if you feel safe with it.
