@Deviation @kde@floss.social @redstrate @kde@lemmy.kde.social Was kinda confused since I knew for a fact these tablets already worked (was the whole reason I bought one), a better way to word it would have been that support for it was added to the the kernel hid drivers as it already worked 100% under linux, just needed their closed source userspace driver.
@raptor85 @kde@floss.social @redstrate @kde@lemmy.kde.social the 15.6, a graphic tablet (with a screen), works fully when using the manufacturers software.
Within KDE, System Settings, I can't configure it using X11 as it tells me that the tablet "is currently not in the device database."
It certainly is possible to configure it using config files but for a normal user/artist that's not the easiest path.
@Deviation @kde@floss.social @redstrate @kde@lemmy.kde.social oh that's bizarre! I use XFCE4 and my tablets show up in both the nvidia settings and the XFCE display settings. Maybe something specific to kde or the 15.6? (they actually show up for me even WITHOUT the driver, they show up as standard displays since it's just using USB-C thunderbolt, the drivers for me are only needed for the pen functionality, everything else works without)
@raptor85 @kde@floss.social @redstrate @kde@lemmy.kde.social this is on X11:
@raptor85 @kde@floss.social @redstrate @kde@lemmy.kde.social this is on Wayland:
Here it shows up. I can adjust pressure but I can't find a way to configure the dial or knobs of the tablet. 🤔
@raptor85 @kde@floss.social @redstrate @kde@lemmy.kde.social Oh, forgot to mention. I am using Manjaro Stable KDE.
@Deviation @kde@floss.social @redstrate @kde@lemmy.kde.social ooh, you meant their tablet settings, not just the screen settings, yes those you don't configure in x11, it's stored in user settings via the tray app.
