Torrent is usually faster and it's good at picking up halfway after an interruption. If a download fails, I have to start again from zero.
Depends on the site to be fair, and your download manager. You can pause and resume downloads and, admittedly not every time, can also resume a failed download. But you won't really know until it happens, so torrents are definitely better for that.
