That's fair enough. It was only invented in 1742 so that's barely enough time to start getting used to it.
Moved away from the states about half a decade ago to the UK. Was excited to drop imperial units, but then I found out the English still measure body weight in rocks. That one took a hogshead of wind out of my sails.
You know that someplace has a problem with obesity when they start breaking out the geologic scales.
