I, for one, feel some (shallow) sympathy for the protagonist of this plausibly fake story on the internet. I'm sure he showered and put on roll-on deodorant like a decent citizen, only to be crushed by the reality where social capital has been dwindling for decades, as presented by Robert D. Putnam.
