He is the head of the Hamas negotiation team to discuss the ceasefire deal.

- Khaled Mashal was targeted in the attack in Doha
- The Americans control Qatari airspace and therefore "Israel" must coordinate with them

There are reports that they were aware of it and at least oneQatari F15 was flying over their airspace at the time of the attack.

They planed to assassin the entire negotiation team, just like they did with the head of the negotiation team last year in Lebanon.
