Unpopular opinion but I didn’t find this movie funny at all
That is indeed an unpopular opinion.
I'm genuinely curious why. For me it's an undeniable classic with pitch perfect writing and delivery. The only bit that doesn't really land is the fart scene which goes too long, but I recognize how subversive it was at the time all the same.
So what don't you like? Is it too edgy with the racial humor? Is it just dated boomer humor in general?
I just didn’t find the jokes funny. I love offensive comedy, i just don’t know why I couldn’t connect with this one. I love young Frankenstein and history of the world and spaceballs. but this one the jokes just aren’t landing for me.
Similar to how I love Shaun of the dead and hot fuzz, but I don’t like worlds end. I love Tarantino movies but I don’t like inglorious basterds.
