SDDM is the login screen, but when you're already logged in it's not going to display anything. If you reboot your computer SDDM is what you see before you start KDE. If you use Gnome then this will be different because Gnome doesn't use SDDM.
Ah so that's why flashy line, am already logged in to KDE. I guess when I log in the system auto switches me from tty1 login to tty2 KDE? But then why does tty7 have the same flashy line, both can't be login, can they?
I don't know what TTY7 is, but if I had to guess I'd say Plymouth, which is the graphical loading screen that covers the boot messages.
Ah that'd make sense, thanks! Idk why I can't find the info anywhere online, it has to be in the fedora docs somewhere!
Edit: Ok 1 is definitely the login screen, just tried before login. 7? Remains to be seen but I bet you're right, prob plymouth.
