That was actually fun to listen to. I like the vibe.

I think we need to make the different approach a bit friendlier though. Like on Reddit you start with default communities, you add ones you like, you remove ones you don't, and /all is trash. On Lemmy, I browse /all, and I block what I don't like. It's not bad to block. It just means you never wanna see it. We don't all want to see the same things. I, for one, don't care for memes. I don't think they shouldn't exist, I just... don't get anything out of them. So I block meme communities. It's nothing against the people though. I enjoy communities where people say more and post fewer images.
