Try to put this as best I can. How and what is doxxing or i think its call ddos ing? I just thought it was taking down a website and that was it. Sorry I am an 80s kid. (lemmy.world)

Doxxing is when someone reveals another person’s identifying information such as name, address, place of work etc. a DDos attack is an attack where you basically overload a websites server with so many requests it basically crashes

Is there a place where I can learn how to DDOS so I can take down Russian websites? You can PM me. Hopefully this doesn't get me banned for asking that question.

It is seen as illegal activity, so if you are asking like this I would suggest you don’t attempt it.

I was asking cause I volunteer at a Hospice house in the states. And with no loved ones they ask for cards.

Look, you don't know what DDOS is, its gonna take a lot of research and resources to do anything that would impact any large corp, no less a guberment.

Step 1 get lots of computers and lots of friends or bots.

Step 2 ping (not really) whoever you want to ddos with all the bots and pcs.

Step 3 profit.
