if tomatoes are required to be cut, roma is the best variety as they contain the least amount of stupid slimy goo
And the flavor of good ones is so good.
the ones that smell slightly minty have about a 50% chance of being really tasty, in my experience
also pro tip if you're at a self checkout, whatever tomatoes you have are now magically the cheapest kind. isn't that convenient!
I do this with all fruit and veg and feel no ounce of remorse over it.
