Good. Social media is bad.
E: the only reasonable way to be mad about this is because it requires a draconian overreaching “papers please, mate” ass id system that removes any chance of being on the internet anonymously. Such a system is only possible in one of the countries that doesn’t even have the thin veneer of civil rights like the good ol’ us-of-a does.
It’s not bad that fewer people will have access to social media. It’s good that fewer people will have access to social media. It’s bad that the incompetent, alcoholic Australians decided to do so by weaponizing their British common laws lack of a fourth amendment but when you’re a nation of sheep fuckers suffering from fetal alcohol syndrome and sun poisoning every problem looks like a nail.
No I actually just think online communities for queer people are a good thing, including for trans kids.
It’s no loss for children to not be allowed into the Disney Star Wars cantina rainbow flag seating section to watch the jizz wailers and drink a meta coke.
Several of those sites help kids get hrt, which had I been given hrt at that age would have fixed a massive amount of my problems, my depression, my suicidality. But yea you're right who gives a fuck about trans kids.
I people literally almost every day asking if they're trans, if they should start hrt and needing help. But fuck them I guess they should just suffer.
I don't know about Twitter specifically, not on that one, but I've helped people on multiple other listed sites get hrt. I know minors do get help there as well, although I don't remember offhand how old the trans people I specifically have helped are.
The lack of care about trans people getting help and advice is disgusting.
Social media is bad. It would be better if no one was on it. Social media is explicitly a giant panopticon meant to sell you things. People whose brains are literally still developing are the ones most in danger when exposed to the machine that gathers every detail about you so it can sell you chocolate bars.
Again, social media isn’t anyone’s only life raft. The fact that you talked to today’s troubled teens in the comments section of an ig farben ad has no bearing on anything.

A point which you continue to ignore to blather on about chocolate bars. You care about advertising being bad more then trans people. Trans people suffering their entire lives? Killing themselves? Who cares! I don't care about dysphoria or people's lives being ruined. Your suffering means nothing to me. I don't even think its real that trans people spread the word about diy to others online. Sounds fake as shit to me. A cis kid might see an ad for candy!!
You overestimate how much real life community many people have. I'm an adult and don't know any trans people outside of the internet.

You are deeply ignorant of the struggles trans people face when getting healthcare. Can you really not wrap your mind around people on social media helping trans people to get healthcare? I wouldn't know how to get healthcare without social media. I would not have known my options. I, still, would not be on hrt. In future, when I want to get surgery, I will use it to find results. Voice training guides. A wealth of transitioning information is on social media.
