The Google suggested cycling route along the RM-1 from Murcia to San Javier indicates it takes about 2h 30m to do the 46km between them with a climb of only 287m, leaving you in the centre of a city where you can consume plenty of cervezas.
So its not too bad. It could be kombucha.
You should leave Google's slop out of this
In a sweltering 40°C you will need two water bottles every ~ 10-15km. A 287m climb is substantial to be noticeable too.
The mean weather in Murcia during summer is about 35C. Definitely depends on your fitness how noticeable 287m of climbing is. Komoot rates it "moderate" and suggests it's doable in 1h 40m with max inclines of 4% or so.
