I’m laughing at the idea that this person believes (or wants to believe ) that :
after he will be with the elf girl then, after he will die, the elf girl need to mourn after him for hundreds of years …
Like some kind of delusion that he is sooo good, and no other man can raise to this level, that will justify the hundreds years mourning.
