I have two ends of that spectrum:

2010 IOmega arm board network drive, loaded with headless Debian for samba, minidlna, and 256MB RAM.

And 2024 laptop with 32GB RAM and Nvidia RTX card for runing Tumbkeweed for gaming.

Both run very well
