What are your favorite single player games to go back to often?

  • Minecraft
  • Furi
  • Mario 64
  • Super Mario World
  • GTA SA and Vice City

It's kinda rare for me to go back to a single player game and replay it, but there are some games that are nostalgic in the same way place or smell can be nostalgic.

I know them so well that I can't help but want to go back and visit and I never really get disappointment by the experience. Sure, I don't get as immersed as the first time, but I definitely still enjoy the games.

Lords of the Realm 2

It's not a challenge at all anymore, but I just love everything about it.

I've actually been working on a remake off and on. Maybe I'll finish it someday.

That's awesome. LotR3 just didn't do it for me. If you manage to finish it, let me know!

Oh yeah, I really didn't like it. I think I played for a couple hours and just noped out.

But yeah, I'll probably post it somewhere on lemmy, and there's a good chance I'll make it open source.

I'll second a request for a remake of this legendary game. Thanks for your efforts, I would love to see this happen! I spent so long playing this as a kid.

Now I kinda feel obligated to work on it. We have a holiday this weekend (Labor Day in the US), so I might just spend some time working on it. :)
