MODERATORS
France is like 5% the landmass of the USA, USA has five times the population of France spread over a huge amount of land.
Not even vaguely comparable when it comes to organizing, not even considering France's powerful trade unions (unions have been smashed in the USA long ago).
"You don't understand, France has a significantly smaller population! That makes it easier for them to get more people to protest for some reason! The larger population of the US means there's nothing we can do but go about our lives like this is acceptable and hope we can vote our way out of fascism in 3 years!"
You don't all need to be at the same place to protest. Everyone in should be protesting outside their local government offices. People across the country at should be protesting in front of their local government offices.
More people= more trouble organizing.
The last protests in USA were 3x the population of Paris, if 100% of them protested at once.
But, in a huge country, that protest appears small.
You're in a community that the USA is a part of. You should be protesting, too... but instead, you're taking loans from us, buying military equipment for us, using our dollars to trade, and a thousand other ways you support the USA.
The last protests in the USA also made a point of minimalizing any disruption they might cause as much as possible so they could be easily and safely ignored.
You are right.
They love MLK and put him om a pedestal, but the Black Panthers are not part of the celebration, they have no holiday.
MLK without Black Panthers would have accomplished zero. That's my opinion.
