No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials, videos, blogs, press releases, or celebrity gossip will be allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.
7. No duplicate posts.
If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.
8. Misinformation is prohibited.
Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.
All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.
10. Don't copy entire article in your post body
For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

People are dying. People will continue to die. I'm saddened and scared by what is happening
Unfortunately, even if we make it through this, a lot of people are going to die. Hell, a lot died already thanks to orange shit mussolini downplaying covid.
Idk what's scarier, masked federal agents executing Americans on the streets or Americans continuing to do nothing about it. They, as a people and a society, are okay enough with this to not go out of their way to stop it.
Ahhhh yes it's actually our fault! How silly of us! I live in rural Arkansas without enough money to buy gas to get to Minnesota, so please do tell what you expect me to do.
Inform people what happened, explain to the ones that you know will listen and understand how as welly why it's wrong. How ICE is serving as an internal terror organization within this country. Not everyone can go out shooting but make a meal for those who do kinda thing.

i know it's fucking crazy, but here we are. America has been taken over by fascists. They are not just going to leave. The suffering, for not just America but the world, will only get worse until the American public, the State governments, the military, do what needs to be done.
I'm sorry that America is at the point of Civil War, but it is. That fact isn't just going to go away. No one is coming to save America.
I honestly think, deep down, most Americans know this. But the reality of it, the shock of it, is just too great. The cognitive dissonance is too overwhelming.
WRONG. Becoming violent at this point is the single most idiotic, stupid thing we could do right now.
That's what this escalation is designed to provoke.
Do you really think the US government does not know how to deal with violent protests? It's what they want.
Americans doing nothing about it is far scarier. We all knew the first thing has been coming for decades.
