It's great. It stores and sends email. What could be better?
An email provider who doesn't lock you into their ecosystem and doesn't collaborate with law enforcement without putting up a fight.
Does Tuta do that? I've missed that discussion in that case, I've been using them myself and if I can expect to be locked if I want to try another provider I'd rather switch now than when it becomes an even larger hassle
Perhaps they've changed, but last I checked they didn't allow IMAP/POP3 due to "security concerns".
From their howto site:
my required functionality is the ability to integrate other services like paperless etc.. In my support requests to them they made it very clear that they don't aim to provide that.
I've been using IMAP with Posteo for years.
Do you have an example of a better service? If not Tuta, then who?
Posteo
Can't bring your own domains with Posteo.
True, but you can configure addy/forwardemail/simplelogin to proxy your posteo mails through your own domain.
This is the first I've seen of simplelogin and I think I'm going to start using this. Thanks for the share.
Mailbox.org, then. Otherwise, Zoho. Otherwise mxroute (my provider ATM) or migadu.
Thanks! I’ll check that out!
