FWIW Lucid uses Linux an Tesla uses Android

All auto manufacters use android or some flavor of linux. Kiyundai used Windows CE on my friends old veloster. But if they're still using it then I'd be shocked.

It doesn't matter that much if it's based on open source if you can't modify the the unregulated parts and have absolutely no privacy.

Incorrect, it is actually the other way around. Tesla’s os is based on Linux and Lucid’s UX os is based on android

He has had direct contact with Emad Dlala, who is currently the Senior Vice President of Engineering and Digital at Lucid. So I think that would be a quite accurate source to say the least. Also the full video in general is very interesting
