All pedophiles who have committed acts should receive the death penalty, period. They have no place in our world.
There are those that somehow have that urge but don't ever act on it, and I think they do at least deserve less punishment than what the actual rapists and stuff do.
Not to mention, the death penalty should only be for the people in power, including billionaires, CEOs, etc.. The government should not have the ability to kill the people. Only the other way around.

That's a good way to get dead kids. Murder holds a lesser sentence after all.
I have known two pedophiles in my life. One was my cousin who molested me when I was five, the other was a severely mentally disabled man whose family used him for CSAM as a child.
The two should absolutely not be treated the same.

I think you misunderstand. The second man in my statement was groomed into pedophilia from childhood. As in, his family simply switched his roles in the videos as he got older. He was convicted by the courts as a perpetrator and got a plea deal due to mental deficiency, but he's still on the list.
