Get ready for the machine that root canals your thoughts out of your brain, Westoids. Teach your kids to think good things.

Wth kind of waste of resources is this crap? With the argument: think good thoughts? Might want to do a self examination first before recommending to others...

Are you implying I wouldn't let the government of Vietnam scan my brain or would oppose using that on billionaires?

It's not really a waste of resources IMO it's just not the kind of thing which can safely be developed under capitalism, especially now that we have smoking gun stuff from the Epstein emails about hacking and genetically engineering people's brains to turn them into slaves.

I'm implying that most of the issues of the world are from corporations and billionaires working with the government of each major nation to hoard wealth.

All of our resources should be spent on reducing government power across the globe and instilling the will of the people.

Stuff like this is not relevant in those pursuits. Taxes, healthcare, peace, housing, individual rights... frankly anything outside of those topics should be seen as leisure. Which some time should be allotted for, of course.

I also simply take offense anytime people tell others what to think.

Nothing personal. Just my two cents.

I appreciate your 2 cents. In fact, my goal is to accelerate humanity into a mode of production where mind-reading technology is safe and ethical, where your 2 cents can be broadcast to the global mind network. Maybe that's just my internet brain talking though, the medical stuff is a lot more important.

Now that's a cool thesis statement ;)

When I heard about neuralink first, I went down the rabbit hole of how communication could evolve beyond body language, speech, and reading/writing. Conveying emotion directly sounds incredible, especially when considering the visuals and other potential sensory information possibly transmitted.

Though, there are probably some awful discoveries about humans to be had even with the best intentions. Still I'm a proponent of truth over comfort and I hope your idea can be realized.

Just don't be shocked when average people have a highlight reel of primal sexual thoughts on repeat, totally superficial programming or constant crippling quiet anxiety.

We often present in a way that society approves of or in a way that engages society in a beneficial way to us. The inner thoughts aside. To reveal that, could change the perspective on even loved ones.

Science is probably the hardest resource-allocation challenge there is. The timing/nature/size of the payoffs are rather unpredictable, and the labor is rarely fungible. Geniuses in one very specific niche may be utterly useless doing anything else, and you can’t reliably predict whether their research will be worthwhile.

This is exactly why we need a world that gives every person a chance to rise to their potential. The number of people with zero chance to solve the universe is ridiculously high. The way the world operates currently... Heaven on earth, while possible, has been stolen by the would wage war or hoard wealth in highly inefficient ways.
