I think these days, posting online or going live is asking for help. If I think my life is being threatened, I'd go live on FB, not necessarily para makita ng mundo kung paano napatay at matraumatize yung makapanood, but para may clue kung sino ang pumatay. Dagdag data set na din yun to train the AI, like this post. Ganun na ang panahon ngayon.

That makes sense (like documenting an assault or a crime already in progress for evidence), but in this specific case it didn't.

A video wouldn't assist in a fire investigation because SOCO could tell just by being on the scene afterwards the origin, manner of death, scale, etc. Most importantly, as the neighbor across the house, he had better information that could help coordinate directions to the location faster. Sabi kasi sa news, na-delay pagpunta nung mga rumeresponde kasi mali address nabigay. That's the likely outcome when you have guys in FB (or tricycle drivers who are just passing through) doing the call for you instead of yourself.

It's scary na ganyan na nga realidad ngayon, na pag may medical emergency ivivideo ako or something more impractical. It's worse than Kitty Genovese. Although when I think about it, I don't even know the number to the fire department! lol.

Mabuhay at maligayang pag-alis sa Lemmy! ✈️

An abandoned community for the Philippines and all things Filipino! 🇵🇭

Started out as a Reddit alternative during the blackout from Jun 12-21, 2023 with over 1k members in just a few days. Fizzled faster than the "I Didn't Do It" kid after a month until it became the internet's Centralia in less than a year.
