User anger as Amazon ends support for some older Kindles

For anyone affected, just download books from annas archive, convert to your format using calibre or any other tool, copy via usb and be happy. You don't need amazon and I'd argue that you don't even have to use amazon as well.
Anna's Archive is the correct answer for the ebook source - an amazing resource.
Me personally, I ditched Kindle for a PocketBook years ago. Founded in Kiev, moved it's HQ to Switzerland, all their models are based on a Yocto Linux platform with the default file format being epub. Highly recommended!
