When it comes to splitting the bill, in reality poor and middle-class people tend to split the bill. Unless you’re rich, the guy will just pay—but even then, rich guys will date rich women, and rich women will date rich guys. A rich person wouldn’t be caught dead with someone who’s middle class. No rich guy would date a woman who comes from a middle-class family, and vice versa. So when it comes to splitting the bill, it’s mostly for poor people.

Yeah i question OPs definition of rich people because it sounds eerily similar to incel "Chad/Stacy alpha/beta wouldn't date..."

The truly wealthy 0.1% probably wouldn't care who pays the bill because it's less than pocket change to them. The rest might split it or splurge and pay for their date depending on how far into the relationship they are.

OP is definitely wrong about rich people not dating middle class people or poor people, etc. - rich people are sorta immune to giving a shit, they are insulated. Aristocrats may have been forced to marry strategically rather than for love, but that's not really about being rich per se.

Maybe some middle-upper-class people try to emulate aristocratic norms about not mingling that way, tbh I feel like the middle class in general is all about proving they aren't poor, it's ironically very typical of poor culture to work so hard to not seem poor - rich people aren't like that and even try to intentionally blend in around others and not show their wealth.

A millionaire Heiress isn’t going to date the pizza guy who comes from a working class or middle class family

The millionaire heir isn’t going to date the Starbucks Barista who comes from a working class or middle class family.

Most upper-class elites date other people from upper-class elite families. The only exception might be ‘new rich’ people, like rich athletes, singers, actresses, actors, and models. For example, a man or woman from a very wealthy family might date a rich Hollywood actor who comes from a middle-class family, but they wouldn’t date a ‘regular’ person.

You see this all the time: Nicola Peltz’s dad is a billionaire, and she’s married to David Beckham’s son. David Beckham is worth half a billion dollars. There is no way a millionaire heir or heiress is going to date someone middle class. The idea that ‘star-crossed lovers’ fall in love is just a trope in TV and movies.
