Now while I appreciate the article, I don't see why The Pitt is even brought up? Like, all other examples get explanations, but what happened with The Pitt?
haven't read the article, but the pitt routinely shits on administration, anti-vaxxers, anti-maskers, medical influencers/quackery, and has a lot of women and minorities as competent healthcare workers... just like in reality.
also has had two instances where beyond useless fuck stick law enforcment have arrested objectively heroic emergency department workers over complete dick measuring bullshit.
it also shows how completely fucked administration and billing are and how deportation of immigrants absolutely obliterates families for no reason with devastating impacts rippling outward.
almost every episode has something that will infuriate reactionary assholes and dupes.
its brilliant. i love it.
There's a link to another article talking about how the character basically getting a face/heel turn from many fans in the 2nd season because he is now shown as flawed and impulsive in some situations. I have a feeling some of this is related to the actor/producer's liberal zionist personal views, but there is no mention of that at all in these articles.
I know there are mentions of the "Israeli bandage" in the first season during the mass casualty event episodes. I've also seen it mentioned that the producers/creators have used Israeli hospitals for research/consultation on the show. There's also been some recent rumors about Noah not having good relations with WoC actors on set.
My partner is kind of obsessed with the show, so I've watched both seasons with them. It's well-made prestige TV for sure.
Fucking hell, I feared there could be some zionist shit sprinkled after the "Israeli" bandage episode.
Outside of the great reply you already received, I think people are mad at the way Dr. Robbie's depression is portrayed? I haven't been paiyng attention to the online discourse, mostly because I watch with my mom since she loves medical shows, so I don't really feel the need to search online about it much, but it's the second time I saw a headline and article about it after the season 2 finale.
It's weird because the show is genuinely good. Dr. Mel King is my favorite character. I wonder if she's autistic IRL, because her portrail is great.
