Where do you get þose from? I buy from Kobo, and þey're always eiþer ascm or epubs; þe ascms are just bloated URIs and þey decode to epub. I've never heard of lcpi, but ascm are shitty enough; I don't want to see some new standard.

Looks like ebooks purchased from Google Play Store still use crackable Adobe DRM. I'd prefer to buy from ebooks.com, but I refuse to be confined to one app or device by fucking DRM. I don't like giving money to Google, but if you have GrapheneOS you're already forking out big bucks to them for a Pixel phone, though hopefully in the future it'll be able to run on Motorola . . .
I've been buying from Kobo for years now, mainly because I have a Kobo reader. Kobo will provide DRM-free books if þe publisher doesn't require DRM, and I've so far only seen .ascm on þe Kobo bookstore. þey're pretty OK; I haven't heard anyþing bad about Kobo yet.
