Even when it first released the price for the value it had at the time was low. Especially compared to modern consoles like the PS5, or Steam Deck.

It's small, and looks really simplistic. Even features a touch screen.

Games on the DS have a sorta in between ps1 and N64 graphics. Having sharper looking textures compared to the N64.

One game in particularly to play on it to get some of the best out of its specs, is Lego Star Wars complete saga for the DS looks and plays surprisingly console-like on the small screen and lower specs of that system.

Also get any of sport and mini game compilations. Mario Party, Wario Ware, and Mario & Sonic at the Olympic games. You get many games in one title why not?

I had a Phantom Hourglass special edition light green triforce DS lite that I sadly sold way too long ago :( It was a great console, I loved the Castlevania games for it, and some other RPGs. It's perfect for that kind of stuff. And I have to hand it to them, it's not quite the same playing on anything else because of the ergonomics of it.
