Good riddance, and get fucked. I assume his children are no better.

He is leaving the company to Lachlan, who is pure trash just like the walking corpse. James publicly appears a little better than his family, but I still wouldn't trust him:

"In 2020 Murdoch resigned from the board of News Corp, stating that it was “due to disagreements over certain editorial content published by the Company's news outlets and certain other strategic decisions.” He later accused News Corp of spreading “disinformation” through such properties as Fox News."

He accused News Corp, I'd love to be a fly on the wall for that conversation!

James and his family seem nice enough in person. Sure they are filthy rich and can give off a why-is-the-plumber-telling-me-all-this-just-make-my-shit-go-away vibe, but they're polite and patient enough to listen to a plumber talk about pipe diameters, P traps, and Zoeller vs Wayne septic pumps, if they ever end up in that kind of situation.

I don't think he gets to just leave it to Lachlan, there's going to be a fight and Lachlan is actually in the minority in terms of the Murdoch children.
