And raised skeleton archers do crappy melee damage.

I had fun with it in my first run and decided to go summon-heavy with a spore druids in the tactician run I started this weekend. I assumed it was either a tactician difficulty change or because I was casting it as level 3...but then I unlocked level 4 and it's the same situation but with more skeles.

While looking for a list of differences in Tactician, I found a reddit thread (sorry) with people claiming it's a bug. I loaded my last game and yep, no bows! I didn't verify but people are saying the skeletons' bows get put in YOUR inventory.

They're pretty much useless without bows..except to soak hits. Hopefully this gets fixed soon.

Thanks for posting this. I summoned a skeleton for the first time in a tough fight yesterday. When I saw that the game lied about the weapon, I felt betrayed, and figured it had always been that way. Now I have hope that it will be fixed.

Edit: It has been mentioned on their forum. I don't know if it has been reported as a bug.

Yeah skeles rock! Unfortunately the tooltip for the flying ghouls has always been wrong, though. It says they specialize in ranged combat but they're just flying melee.
