Probably, but the memory of the general populace (not the individual) is extremely short, mere weeks. They could completely turn this around with the power of simply waiting for everything to blow over. It works shockingly effectively.

Let's say the Tories lose though, then we get Labour instead. Big whoop. They're basically the same with a few little differences here and there to appeal to the non-rich class, differences which are so skin deep it's insulting that they think we don't see through them.

They're all cut from the same upper class cloth, with the same world views on everything from capitalism to...well, they don't really think about anything else. Everything is just an extension of the economy to them, the money stream that keeps their donors and friends wealthy, and themselves after they retire.

Everything they do is to forward the interests of the people that helped get them where they are, their investors, and themselves.

Even the token "good" things they do for the country are veiled moves to put money into the pockets of their allies, or at best an affordable price to pay to placate the masses for a while (like a business owner paying for a little Christmas party, knowing the goodwill it generates will lead to fewer workplace issues that could cost money from lost productivity, etc, and thus they will come out with more money overall).

Once you realise that Tory, Labour, all simply act in the same way for the same interests, with nothing more than a coat of paint between them, you realise this whole charade if who wins is, well, just for show.

You know who I'd like to see have a go at building a UK government? A fresh one, with zero ties to the ruling class and the wealthy and connected? Bernie Sanders. Bring him in and see if he can do a good job setting up a new party for a new start ❤️

Thank you for listening to my little ramble by the way :-)

Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
