In case anyone is wondering, it's rqd2.

The definition of paraphilia is "a condition characterized by abnormal sexual desires, typically involving extreme or dangerous activities.", which can inclde pedophilia.

It has recieved 4 censures from fediseer due to the content contained on that instance

Not a good look for Lemmy to be promoting any instance like that.

You can see for yourself here

Update: A pull request was sent to remove the sus instance. It should no longer show up soon

Yet they did remove other pedo instances from join-lemmy, so there's a good chance it'll get removed.

Okay, so they do have a line. Nazi's just don't cross that line for them. Awesome job, dev team.

Edit: Now downvotes on an anti-nazi comment. Lemmy sure has become a shit place as of late.

Nazis can’t really get them in trouble. CSAM can, and if it gets through one instance, all instances get it, and that’s a bad face for the Fediverse.

I think containing the Nazis to their own little instance is better than spreading them thin across everywhere else.

I'd rather they didn't congregate and feedback loop themselves into hate crimes.

[-] calavera@lemm.ee 2 points 1 year ago

Yeah, but to do that on an open source platform?

[-] Zekas@lemmy.world 9 points 1 year ago

Can't stop that of course, but can stop the free advertising. Better a lonely nazi.

That's not what the comment thread was talking about. It wasn't about removing the instance from running just to stop advertising it on the join-lemmy site and they refused.
