Pretty much anything that dies will give you xp I think. I kill the two guys in the chairs next to shadowheart on the nautiloid because that’s 20 free xp.

And if you are anti-Us, Us and the other intellect devoured give xp if you either fail to lobotomize Us or recruit Us and straight up attack the other intellect devoured and Us will turn on you.

After the crash kill the mind flayer. While leaving it to die is certainly a dialogue choice, only ending its suffering gets that sweet 35xp.

My wife is the opposite, every time I see her start a new character she murders us at first opportunity, not even for xp just to not suffer an intellect devourer to live.
